The story of the Wing at Ketos
At Lake Bourget, Ketos grew carried by the wind. For a long time, a breeze was enough to go kitesurfing or kite foiling. The sessions flowed naturally, obviously. It was our playground, and that of a whole passionate community.
But over the last few years, everyone has noticed: the wind has changed. Less present, less consistent. The days that once offered us long sessions have become shorter, rarer.
So we had to imagine a new way to glide, without waiting for the whims of the weather. That's when the wing arrived. First as a curiosity... then as an obvious choice. An accessible, free discipline, more playful than what we knew before. A way to rediscover Lake Bourget with different references, different sensations, but always the same passion for gliding.
At Ketos, we never wanted to settle for just adapting our products: we wanted to preserve what makes the brand's DNA.
Reactivity, precision, lightness, that feeling of 'clean flying' that makes you recognize a Ketos foil with your eyes closed. So we developed our wings and wing foils with one idea in mind: to achieve the same glide quality as kite foiling, but with the freedom of wing.
A subtle balance between stability, acceleration, carving, and control, so that everyone can feel that unique moment when the wing disappears and only the glide remains. Because in the end, whether the wind is there or not, the essential remains the same: to offer the Ketos sensation.
